Mitchell Moses' 5th Metatarsal Foot Fracture Explained!

Updated: Apr 16

Parramatta Elles halfback Mitchell Moses recently injured his left foot in the Eels Round 3 match versus the Manly Sea Eagles. Media reports indicate that Moses has suffered a fracture to his 5th metatarsal, known as a Jones fracture. These are notorious fractures that can be associated with slow healing and non-union. Moses has been predicted to return to play in 8 weeks. Jones fractures have been reported to have a non-union (non-healing) rate of up to 30%. This is improved with surgery and tends to improve speed of recovery. Watch our video to find out more.
