Newcastle is a city with many fine dancing institutions, including the Newcastle Ballet School, Newcastle Dance Academy, and of course the Newcastle Ballet Theatre. We are also lucky to have some physiotherapists in the Hunter area with professional dancing experience! Dancers are incredible athletes and can get themselves into some amazing positions, however as a result the foot & ankle are placed under tremendous strain. Dancers are particularly vulnerable to foot & ankle injuries, with this area making up to 40% of injuries suffered by dancers.
