Achilles tendon avulsions or Achilles Sleeve Avulsions are rare but debilitating injuries. The X-ray signs are often missed as the injury often pulls a small area of bone off the calcaneus (heel bone). This video explains what an Achilles tendon avulsion is and how it looks on imaging.
